A Colonial-Style Wood Garage Door Inspired by a Nation
Beloved for its simple, symmetry borderline minimalist rectangular shape, Colonial architecture has been a staple for nearly 250 years. Our Colonial-style wood garage door pays homage to its enduring appeal. From its humble origins in the colonies of the New World to its westward expansion and unabashed embrace by European settlers who added their own unique flair, our Colonial-style wood garage door is right in step with a storied design legacy that is centuries old, yet still looks fresh.
Of course, we’ve modernized ours to be right in step with building and design trends. Within the 100 Series (105, 110, 106 and 116), Wayne Dalton has four distinctive Colonial-style wood garage door models to choose from that melds traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art technology to elegant effect.
Wayne Dalton offers a Lifetime Limited Warranty on this garage door. Please reference the warranty document for details.
Every Colonial-style wood garage door is constructed in smooth hardboard or plywood with quarter-inch center panels made from exterior-grade hardboard. Panels are available in traditional rectangle or square fields that reflect a classic Colonial aesthetic. Their neat and tidy geometry serve as the perfect foil for a crisp coat of white paint, dramatic ebony gloss, or any bold or subtle hue you that sparks your creativity.
While its heritage is firmly rooted in early Americana, the clean lines of our Colonial-style wood garage door work beautifully with a variety of architectural styles—everything from modern farmhouse chic to urban loft, classic ranch and more.
A single Colonial-style wood garage door is available in your choice of eight to 16 panels. Double garage doors are available with eight to 32 panels.
Beauty of a Classic Natural Wood Garage Door
Our Colonial-style wood garage door is built by Amish woodworkers in Mt. Hope, Ohio, along with artisans in Centralia, Washington. Every door is fashioned by hand using techniques and traditions honed over generations that reflect pride in enduring craftmanship.
Meticulously crafted with care, every Colonial-style wood garage door features solid wood rails and stiles made from kiln-dried west coast hemlock, Sitka spruce or equally durable wood. Mortise-and- tenon joints are glued and steel pinned to provide lasting strength that stands up to the elements and years of wear. Shiplap-style connections between each section create a weather-tight fit. Rust-resistant, hot-dipped galvanized steel tracks and hardware ensure your Colonial-style wood garage door will provide smooth, reliable use for years to come.
Available in your choice of plywood or hardboard, these wood garage doors arrive sanded and ready to prime and paint or to stain.
While our Colonial-style wood garage door is beautiful unembellished, gleaming windows allow you to customize your door while also infusing your garage space with natural light. Wayne Dalton offers windows in a variety of styles and designs. Choose from simple panel windows or our dramatic cathedral, sunray and Stockton designs.
Whether you envision your Colonial-style wood garage door with an arched topper or adorned with a tidy row of squares panes, you’ll find the perfect stylish combination to brighten your garage space with natural light.
